In the valley of worries

In this book, Muhammad Lutfi Jumaa presents to us a story that expresses life with all its contradictions, mixing amazement and joy, misery and fatigue, explaining that everything we are exposed to is a result of our personal choices and decisions. The writer writes this story to convey to the reader a feeling of comfort and calm after bitter experiences of pain and heartbreak, as he reflects, through the pen that mocked and ridiculed life, a resolve and determination to explore the deeper aspects of humanity and existence.

محمد لطفي جمعة، الكاتب والمترجم والروائي المصري، وُلد في الإسكندرية عام 1886 لأسرة من الطبقة الوسطى، ونشأ وسط تأثير الزعيمين الوطنيين مصطفى كامل ومحمد فريد، حيث شكلوا صداقة وطيدة وتعاونوا في الكفاح السياسي ضد الاستعمار. درس في مدارس متعددة وحصل على إجازة من كلية الحقوق في فرنسا عام 1912، وعمل كمدرس وناشط ثقافي وفكري، مساهمًا في تطوير الفكر الإنساني والتعليم المجاني، إضافةً إلى ترجمته لأعمال عديدة من الأدب العالمي إلى العربية. أصيب بجلطة دماغية ألمت به لفترة طويلة، قبل أن يرحل عن عالمنا بسبب مضاعفات المرض.
