The Man at the Carlton

This is a crime mystery novel that tells the story of a former Rhodesia CID officer, Harry Stone, known as Harry the Valet. He is a dishonest police officer. Harry went to London with about three hundred ill-gotten pounds in the hope of meeting Lew Daney, a criminal who has never been caught. Lew Daney organized a jewelry heist and got away with the gold.
