Nowadays sustainability is a hot topic. It is therefore all the more surprising that so few people know what sustainability really means and how it can be implemented. The transformation towards a truly sustainable economic system is the only way to tackle and successfully solve today's global challenges. This book explains clearly and to the point what is meant by sustainable development, how disruptive technologies enable the necessary transformation, how all of us can doubly contribute to sustainability through personal development & professional impact.

Dr. Dorothea Ernst arbeitet mit Führungskräften und Teams, begleitet persönliche, organisationsinterne und regionale Transformationsprozesse und hält Vorträge. Die promovierte Physikerin und Mediatorin ist Sustainability Catalyst bei der INFORM in Aachen. 16 Jahre lang hat sie bei Philips Innovations- und Veränderungsprozesse mitgestaltet. Zwei wichtige Etappen waren die Mitarbeit an der Digitalisierung der Lichtindustrie sowie die Einführung von Nachhaltigkeit als Innovationskraft in den Gesamtkonzern. In beiden Aufgaben lernte sie, dass Menschen und ihre Ziele, Werte und Haltungen in Kombination mit kluger Nutzung von Technologie die wesentlichen Schlüssel zu Innovation und langfristigem, lebensbejahendem Erfolg sind.
