محمد فريد أبو حديد (1893 – 1967) هو أديب ومفكر مصري بارز، يُعد من رواد الأدب النهضوي في القرن العشرين. وُلد في القاهرة وتخرج في مدرسة المعلمين العليا، ثم انخرط في ميادين التعليم والصحافة والثقافة، فكان مدرسًا ومحررًا وكاتبًا مثقفًا واسع الاطلاع. كتب في مجالات الرواية والمسرح والمقالة الأدبية والتاريخية، وتميز أسلوبه بالجمع بين الفصاحة والبعد الفكري. من أبرز أعماله رواية "ابنة المملوك" و"الوعاء المرمري"، إلى جانب دراسات أدبية وتاريخية عن أعلام الأدب العربي. كما لعب دورًا مهمًا في الحركة الثقافية المصرية من خلال مقالاته في الصحف والمجلات ومشاركته في المنتديات الفكرية، فترك أثرًا كبيرًا في الأدب العربي الحديث.
