Oh girls of Alexandria

A novel that resembles an autobiography, but it is not an autobiography of the writer himself, but rather about his emotional relationships with the girls of Alexandria, chronicling a period of time starting from the forties of the last century, chronicling the history of the boy who grew up amid the fantasies of girls he loved. The novel revolves around the girls to whom the young man has become attached since his youth, recounting their features, souls, and famous events, which is an analysis of Alexandrian society, its diversities, and its local history. A writing for which Edward Al-Kharrat is famous, which is sensual writing, as the novel has a long melody between the present and the past on the narrator's tongue, in which there are no interruptions of return, but rather the two times overlap, so as the boy grows up and becomes a young man or an old man, you find him as a boy in other lines. The sensual presence of the characters shines through the lines of the novel so that they continue to captivate the reader with their conversations and daily lives.
