In this book, "Muhammad Karda Ali" is devoted to his pen to monitor social and cultural phenomena that prevailed in Arab societies during the mid -twentieth century, and he saw that they hinder development, so it was necessary to highlight these phenomena and solve the problems that caused them, as the comparisons between these customs and the rejected nature and their European counterparts are complicated The desirable, so he does not see an outrage in taking some of their behaviors and character that made them progress, and it was a motive, not an obstacle. The writer also provides his vision of several social issues around which intellectual records - at the time - such as the issue of women's rights and the combination of two cultures, Arab unity and the Islamic University.
