What everyone wants from life?
We want to healthy, beautiful, wealthy, smart and wise. We want to be recognized. But most of everything, we want to be happy.
Kate is ugly, poor and lonely. She does not remember when she was happy. Until one day she meets a boy with mysterious powers.
Can he change her life? Can he make her happy?

I was born in Poland where I studied economy. After moving to Sweden I had a desire to write a fantasy book placed in the real world. Feeling that I was more fluent in English than in Swedish, I wrote it in that language. Doing it today, I would write it in Polish, but when I started writing it, Poland was only begging its experiment with market economy, and I was not sure if I would find a publisher willing to take a risk with a book starting in England and taking most of the action in Spain. In spite the fantasy, the book tells a few real stories from my life.
