The History of Greenland

This book condenses a great deal of history into relatively few pages. However, it never feels forced. The writing is sharp and highly well-executed, making it a true pleasure to read. It covers a broad range of topics related to Greenland and its people, not only in the historical sections but also in providing insights into and understanding of today's geopolitical landscape.

Torbjørn Ydegaard, M.Ed., has travelled in Greenland for the past 45 years and served as headmaster of the primary and secondary school in Ittoqqortoormiit, Northeast Greenland, from 2016 to 2020. He now lives in Denmark.
