عندما ذهب عمر إلى فراشه، لم يستطع النوم. كانت كلمات جده تتردد في ذهنه. ثم نهض وأخرج دفتر رسمه. رسم رمز عنخ، رمز الحياة في مصر القديمة، محاطًا بأشعة الشمس. وكتب أسفله: "هنا، في بلادي، كان مفتاح الحياة. هنا كان فجر الوعي."
When Omar went to bed, he couldn't sleep. His grandfather's words kept echoing in his mind. Then he got up and took out his sketchbook. He drew the ankh, the symbol of life in ancient Egypt, surrounded by rays of sunlight. Beneath it, he wrote: "Here, in my country, was the key to life. Here was the dawn of consciousness."
