ابن السيد البطليوسي (أبو محمد عبد الله بن السيد البطليوسي) كان من كبار العلماء في الأندلس في القرن الخامس الهجري. وُلد في مدينة بطليوس ونشأ في بيئة علمية مزدهرة ازدهاراً كبيراً في تلك الفترة، مما أتاح له دراسة اللغة العربية والفقه والمنطق والفلسفة على يد كبار العلماء. اشتهر بدقته اللغوية وعمق تحليله في علوم البيان والنحو، كما تميز بأسلوبه النقدي الذي يجمع بين الذكاء والتحليل العقلي الدقيق. من أبرز مؤلفاته "الاقتضاب في شرح أدب الكتاب" الذي يعد من أهم الشروح اللغوية في الأدب العربي. كان له أثر بالغ في تطوير الفكر اللغوي والفلسفي في الأندلس، وترك تراثاً علمياً قيّماً يدل على سعة علمه وثقافته الواسعة. عُرف بتواضعه وحرصه على نشر المعرفة بين طلابه، مما جعل له مكانة مرموقة بين العلماء في زمانه.
