The Pyramid of Khufu

Nina Mikhailovna Lyubovtsova (1912–2004) became interested in the history of Ancient Egypt in her youth, influenced by Boleslav Prus's novel "Pharaoh". At the same time, the first chapters of her future work "The Pyramid of Khufu" were written, which was finally completed only in the 1960s. Having become a member of the Astrakhan Writers' Organization, Lyubovtsova devoted herself to literature and published a number of historical works, among which the novel "Journey to Karakorum" about Alexander Nevsky stands out.

This edition presents the novel "The Pyramid of Khufu", which tells about the events of four and a half millennia ago. At the center is the history of the construction of the greatest pyramid of Pharaoh Khufu, which brought the people not only glory, but also severe disasters. The reader, together with the author, immerses himself in the life and destinies of different strata of ancient Egyptian society, where greatness and tragedy are intertwined in a single narrative.
