In a time when conflicts have multiplied, waves of anxiety and sorrow have accelerated, voices of fear and obsessions have grown louder, and doubts have seeped into innocent souls, creating a fear of the specter of misguidance. In a time when things have become confused for this weak creature, so he has begun to see the path of error as guidance. He has denied reality, so truths have appeared to him as illusions, and he has thought the mirage is real. His senses have become confused, so he has wandered in his world, withdrawn into himself. He has gone from the limits of moderation and psychological normality to the limits of behavioral extremism and fanaticism, and from the limits of nature to what is below it. He has drifted into the trap of neurosis. He has become less happy and joyful and more sad and sorrowful. His behavioral and nervous reactions, tension and agitation have overwhelmed him, as has his sound thinking, performance and effectiveness have declined, the role assigned to him has faded, and the features of his personality have decayed. The feeling of security, reassurance and peace has diminished, and worry, fear and sadness have prevailed. Although the term "neurotic disorders" is no longer used in modern, internationally recognized psychological classifications, it still holds a prominent place in research, studies, and articles in the field of psychiatry. In order to simplify information and communicate it to the target group in a familiar way, I have chosen to keep this terminological door open, given its well-documented historical legacy throughout the ages of classification. Despite the apparent difference in the name, the scientific goal strives with all effort to alleviate the suffering, pain, and psychological distress of patients afflicted with neurotic disorders. No matter how different the scientific trends, research theories and hypotheses are regarding the emergence of neurotic psychological disorders, the reader's concern remains the ease of comprehending the content and understanding the meanings away from complexity and linguistic affectation. For this reason, I intended to address the target group of the general public, students in this scientific field and workers from all categories in the departments of psychiatry, psychology and social research to benefit from what I have endeavored to collect, organize and present in simple language and an understandable academic style. Whatever deficiency or error is mine, and whatever perfection and success is from God. Al-Obeikan Publishing
