It is of utmost importance to understand the concept of mixing and its limitations, in order to clarify its forms, rulings, results, and effects. Through this, we can differentiate between what is mixing and what is not. This term remains vague and unclear, which has led to much confusion among the general public and the elite. This has resulted in a great deal of leniency in addressing this issue. This has led some people to believe that mixing is permissible. This is based on the fact that mixing between the sexes and their mutual cooperation in all areas of life (professional work, development, science, education, worship, culture, art, sports, etc.) is a norm of civilisation and a healthy human society, without which normal life cannot be achieved. There is no doubt that this is a clear distortion and confusion of concepts, as mixing in our Arab and Islamic world—in the present era—has taken on many different forms, just as is the case in the Western world, which places no value on religion and morality. Therefore, it was necessary to clarify the concept of mixing, its forms, rulings, results, and effects, in light of what is stated in the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the words of our righteous predecessors (may God have mercy on them). We ask God for safety, protection, and a good outcome and conclusion.
