The taste of separation

Villages go to sleep in tragedy, cities wake up to defeat, and Majdal rests its head heavy with fears on the shores of Ashkelon, covered with the threads of its famous spinning and weaving, dozing off to an unknown tomorrow. A fetus grows in my mother's womb, entering its fourth month, and Haifa does not sleep, its eyes open, awaiting its approaching death.
