She said - her laughter
rings like silver bells
how many fools
ask what's in yesterday
who think love is an endless fire
look at my fruit
in its fresh beauty
for I give it to love
as long as the secret of the bee quenches it
from the cruelty of boredom
the past was not created for us to revive
but to recount it.
