That is the Distrance

In her poetry collection, "That Is the Distance," Israa Al-Nimr expresses her relationship with life, death, and everything in between, and describes the feelings that were imprinted on her poetic soul, as a result of rejection and helplessness, loneliness and emptiness, fear, and lightness caused by pain, and she finds nothing but illusion as a way to continue, as she says: "Sometimes I need illusion in order to live." She also reveals, through various poems, the familial and emotional relationships that left scars on her conscience and reaped nothing but pain.

إسراء النمر: صحفية وشاعرة مصرية، تخرجت في كلية الإعلام جامعة القاهرة عام 2012، صدر لها ديوان «العيون التي غادرت سريعًا» عن الهيئة العامة للكتاب، وكتاب «ألعاب حسين عبد العليم.. الصياد الذي لم تنجُ منه أية رائحة» عن دار صفصافة. تُرجمت قصائدها إلى لغات عدة، وهي الإنجليزية والفرنسية والإسبانية والصينية واليونانية.
