The Tower of the Azbakeya Party

These stories form their own world, with its unique details and amazing characters, a mixture of extreme realism and eccentricity that surprises the narrator from the heart of ordinary situations. The narrator is fond of songs and similes, gossiping and cursing. He roams the streets for errands he has to, or in search of something to occupy his time. Then life confronts him with unimaginable oddities, and situations that call for the stars of art, singing, and literature, in strange situations that contradict the familiar image of these stars, as we see them from the narrator's perspective and the reality of his feeling of alienation, and in his language, which rebels against the familiar and deliberately breaks the rules of the language.
