Über das eBook

Dmitry Sergeevich Merezhkovsky (1866–1941) is one of the most prominent representatives of Russian culture, a writer, poet, translator, philosopher, and founder of symbolism. His work opened up new horizons in literature, and his poetry collection "Symbols" gave its name to an entire movement. The tragedies of the ancient Greek classics, the historical and philosophical trilogy "Christ and Antichrist," and the study "Tolstoy and Dostoevsky. Life and Work" are only a small part of his rich legacy.

An opponent of the October Revolution, Merezhkovsky saw emigration as a historical mission to fight communism, which made his figure especially bright and controversial. His life ended in Paris, but his literary works still amaze with their depth and relevance.

The novel "Tutankhamun in Crete" is an immersion into the world of ancient Crete, where the cult of a beast-like deity that demands human sacrifices reigns. The main character, the priestess Dio, is depicted as a harbinger of Christian ideals, which gives her image a unique depth. The story of love and tragedy between Dio, her friend Eoia and the Babylonian merchant Tammuzadad, intertwined with questions of faith and self-sacrifice, creates a gripping atmosphere that is impossible to tear yourself away from. The finale of the novel is a symbolic redemption and triumph of the highest ideals.

The book "The Secret of Three. Egypt - Osiris" reveals Merezhkovsky as a philosopher-traveler, conveying his deepest thoughts and impressions of ancient ruins in a "travel diary".

The publication is made in the best traditions of classical translation and editing, offering the reader not only exciting plots, but also the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the author's philosophical quest. This book will be a real gift for lovers of intellectual and historical literature.
