Russia in American geopolitics. Before and after 2014
Über das eBook
At one time, the collapse of the Soviet Union played a key role in world geopolitics. The space, which for centuries belonged first to the huge tsarist empire and then to the USSR, was literally instantly divided into a dozen independent states. Most of them were not even ready to gain sovereignty. The geopolitical vacuum has finally disappeared. Decades have passed, and the situation in many countries still seems very ambiguous. The events of 2014 have only made it more difficult. Relations between Russia and the United States, giant states, are in limbo. The geopolitical positions of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are assessed extremely ambiguously. There are both ardent opponents of the current policy and supporters of each side. And it becomes more and more difficult to look at the situation objectively every year. Henry Kissinger and Zbigniew Brzezinski hold rather different views on the modern geopolitical realities of the world and the role of the leaders of the largest states in them. It is this fact that allows us to see two opposing points of view on this issue in order to draw our own conclusions.
