Locanda

تخرج في كلية الفنون الجميلة 1984، صدر له 10 روايات هي : "أزمنة من غبار" و "من فرط الغرام" و"العاطل"، وصلت إلى القائمة القصيرة للبوكر العربية 2012، و"تاج الهدهد" و "نساء القاهرة. دبي" وصلت إلى القائمة القصيرة في جائزة أرى روايتي بأبوظبي 2018، و"الأزبكية" فازت بجائزة كتارا الكبرى 2016، و"الكومبارس، "البلاط الأسود"، و"دار العشاق"، كما فاز كتابه "تاريخ الرسم الصحفي في مصر" بالجائزة الاولى في مسابقة جمعية أصدقاء أحمد بهاء الدين الدورة الأولى 2000، و"السينما المصرية... 50 عامًا من الفرجة" 2018، و"السينما المصرية في رمضان" 2018، و"الأخضر والمعطوب في الثقافة والفن والحياة" 2009. أسهم بالنصيب الأكبر في تأسيس مجلة "دبي الثقافية".
