ميرال الطَّحاوي، كاتبة روائية وأكاديمية من مصر، تعمل حاليا أستاذًا للأدب العربي بكلية اللغات العالمية والترجمة بجامعة آريزونا الأمريكية. ومن أشهر رواياتها: "الخِباء"، "الباذنجانة الزرقاء" (التي حازت علي جائزة الدولة التشجيعية في الرواية سنة 2002)، "نقرات الظباء"، و"بروكلين هايتس" (وقد ترشَّحَت للقائمة القصيرة لجائزة البوكر العالمية، كما حصلت جائزة نجيب محفوظ). لها مجموعة قصصية واحدة، هي "ريم البراري المستحيلة"، ونشر مركز المحروسة أحدث كتاباتها: "بَعيدَةٌ بَرقَة على المِرسال".
