Sufism and philosophy

Can the "Sufi experience" shed light on deep philosophical questions? In his interesting book, "Sufism and Philosophy," the British philosopher Walter Stace takes us on an exciting intellectual journey in which he explores the world of Sufism from a precise philosophical perspective. The book does not simply provide a presentation of mystical experiences, but rather goes beyond that to discuss the extent of their compatibility with the laws of nature, and examine the different cultural interpretations of them. Stace sheds light on the mystical experience, both extroverted and introverted, and its common characteristics among humans, raising questions about its subjectivity and objectivity, and the role of language and logic in understanding it. The book does not neglect to discuss the most important philosophical theories about God's relationship with the world, such as pantheism, dualism, and monism, to provide the reader with an opportunity to reflect on the Sufi experience from different angles.
