إيما أوركزي هي روائية وكاتبة مسرحية إنجليزية، وُلِدت في المجر عام 1865 لعائلة نبيلة، حيث كان والدها البارون فيليكس أوركزي ووالدتها الكونتيسة إيما واس. انتقلت عائلتها إلى لندن عام 1880، حيث درست الفنون في مدارس مختلفة. بدأت أوركزي مسيرتها الأدبية مترجمة ورسامًا قبل أن تتجه إلى الكتابة بعد إنجابها طفلها. حققت شهرة واسعة بعد عرض مسرحيتها "الزهرة الحمراء"، التي تحكي قصة مغامرات "السير بيرسي بلاكيني"، الذي يسعى لإنقاذ الأرستقراطيين الفرنسيين من الثورة. تمتاز أعمالها بالإثارة والمغامرات، وقد ابتكرت شخصيات بوليسية بارزة في الأدب الإنجليزي. تُوفيت في إنجلترا عام 1947، وما زالت رواياتها تُعرض وتُقرأ حتى اليوم.
