Raising the hands in prayer is one of the works of Imam Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah, and it is a great study that he devoted to one jurisprudential issue, which is the issue of raising the hands in prayer, and he made the dispute in it based between two groups: The first is the majority of scholars from the Companions, followers, and imams, who say that raising the hands in bowing, Raising it and standing up from the two rak'ahs is a Sunnah established by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. The second group is some Hanafi scholars and others, who say that it is not Sunnah to raise the hands in those positions.
