The good earth

The Good Earth is considered a classic of American literature, and Pearl Buck won the Pulitzer Prize and the Dean Howells Medal for it. She also won the Nobel Prize in Literature for her entire work in 1938, thus becoming the first American woman to win it.
The events take place in China on the verge of radical change, and follows the saga of an entire family. Pearl Buck depicts the cycle of life with all its horrors, passions, and human ambitions and ambitions, in exchange for the rewards or punishments of the world.
