Quartets

For the first time, these "Quatrains" are presented by the great Persian Sufi Sheikh Farid al-Din al-Attar, the author of "The Logic of the Bird." It includes five hundred quatrains out of six thousand quatrains written by her, carefully selected and translated from Persian by Dr. Manal Al-Yamani Abdel Aziz.
These selected quatrains as a whole deal with some Sufi mystical concepts, such as: monotheism, love, confusion, and wine.

فريد الدين العَطّار شاعر فارسي متصوف، قال البعلبكي أنه «يُعتبر أحد أعظم الشعراء والمفكرين الصوفيين المسلمين». عُرف بغزارة الإنتاج، وقد تركت أعماله أثراً ملحوظاً في الأدب الفارسي وفي الآداب الإسلامية الأخرى أيضاً. أشهر آثاره منطق الطير وهو شبه ملحمة نقع فيها على أوضح تفسير شعري للتصوّف الفارسي.
