This is how Tabrizi spoke about the hadiths of the sheikh and the disciple2

The relationship between Shams al-Din and Jalal al-Din was a puzzling mystery for everyone from its inception until now. Many were unable to understand the truth of this relationship, but Shams al-Din and Jalal al-Din revealed the truth of this relationship through the conversations that took place between them, and they were united by divine love and the path of Sufism.
These hadiths were known as "Shams al-Tabrizi's Essays." The articles abound with a lot of information about Shams al-Din al-Tabrizi that may not be available in other Sufi books. They also express his point of view on some Sufi sheikhs, scholars, and jurists, and are considered a treasure of Persian Sufi literature.

شمس الدين التبريزي محمد بن ملك داد التبريزي، عارف وشاعر متصوف، كتب جل شعره بالفارسية وأقله بالتركية والعربية، مسلم صوفي المشرب شافعي المذهب، يُنسب إلى مدينة تبريز. يُعتبر المُعلم الروحي لجلال الدين الرومي. كتب ديوان التبريزي الذي كتبه في مجال العِشق الإلهي. قام برحلات إلى مدن عدة منها حلب وبغداد وقونية ودمشق.
