When they asked me to present a special issue on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the novels' publication, I was very excited.. The thirtieth adventure in Rifaat Ismail's life was (After Midnight). The thirtieth adventure in the life of Abeer Abdel Rahman is (Genius), which is a painstaking attempt to explore Dostoyevsky's world. Adventure number thirty in the life of Alaa Abdel Azim is (Scraps), which tells about his experience reading the collective conscience of an Israeli doctor.. Do you wonder what the number thirty represents for each of them?

كاتب وروائي وطبيب مصري. يعتبر من أهم كتاب الرعب والفانتازيا والخيال العلمي في الوطن العربي، ويلقب بـ "الأب الإله". بدأ كتاباته بمسلسل ما وراء الطبيعة – غير طبيعي. كما ألف العديد من الكتب وللصحف والمجلات المرموقة في جميع أنحاء العالم العربي، وبيعت كتبه الملايين وذاع صيتها في الكثير من البيوت المصرية والعربية. ولم يتوقف عن العمل طبيباً أو تدريسياً في كلية الطب - جامعة طنطا.
