Studies in the contemporary history of Oman

While Oman has benefited from its relations with India in various fields, the volume of Oman's exports to India has been less than the volume of its imports. Both the United States and Japan competed with India in its relations with Oman at the end of the study period, and the volume of Omani trade with India declined to the benefit of these two countries. Oman has benefited from its vital strategic location and the presence of the British Navy in enhancing internal stability and increasing the volume of trade with India despite the political and military fluctuations that the region has experienced.
