The dawn of the Egyptian story

In this book, Yahya Haqqi chronicles the modern Egyptian short story art, and writes about the novel "Zainab" by Muhammad Hussein Heikal, and about Muhammad Taymur, Mahmoud Taher Lashin, Issa Obeid, and Tawfiq al-Hakim. He also writes about the novel "The Virgin of Denshaway" by Mahmoud Taher Haqqi, and about "pen paintings" as a tributary to the art of the short story. Among those who wrote "pen paintings" are Dr. Hussein Fawzi, Sheikh Mustafa Abdel Razek, and Dr. Ahmed Lotfy al-Sayyid.
