Kidnapped

After the death of his father, the young David Balfour discovers that his greedy uncle has deceived him to seize his inheritance, not only this, but he is planned to kidnap him and put him on a ship heading to America to be sold in the slave market. On that ship, he gathered a strange friendship with a rebel soldier with him to get rid of the grip of his kidnappers, but things are taking place unexpected and finds himself that he has been involved with his new friend in a greater case than he expected. An interesting novel that revolves around a real incident that took place in Scotland, the eighth century.

روبرت لويس ستيفنسون، روائي وشاعر وكاتب مقالات أسكتلندي، وُلد عام ١٨٥٠ وتُوفي عام 1894. كتب الكثير من القصص القصيرة وكتب الرحلات، ومن أشهر أعماله رواية "جزيرة الكنز" و"المخطوف" و"دكتور جيكل والسيد هايد". لاقى ستيفنسون شهرة أدبية واسعة إبان حياته، ويحتل الآن مرتبة متقدمة بين أكثر الأدباء الذين تُترجم أعمالهم.
