Eight o'clock in the morning

George Nada lived alone in a small bedroom.
As soon as he returned to his residence, the first thing he did was unplug the TV!
In the other rooms he could hear his neighbors' televisions. Most of the time the voices were human, but from time to time he began to hear them in the form of strange caws similar to the voices of crows.
"Obey the government!" one of the imposter creatures said as if croaking, and another croaked, saying: "We are the government! We are your friends! You would do anything for a friend, wouldn't you?"
"Obey!", "Do!"
