Al-Hawari

Deep in the Egyptian desert, the story of "Abu Al-Fawares Al-Hawari" is told, the oppressed hero who was betrayed by his people and forced to flee to become a stranger among people he did not know. "Al-Hawari", a theatrical novel written by Ibrahim Ramzy and performed by the George Abyad Theater Group with the tunes of Sayed Darwish, takes us to the heart of this epic story. Al-Hawari and his daughter find refuge in a village where they receive generosity and protection, but challenges ensue when a forbidden love story arises between his daughter and a young man from the village. On the horizon, the beloved mayor makes a heavy request, asking for the hand of Al-Hawari's daughter in marriage. Torn between tribal traditions and gratitude to the villagers, Al-Hawari faces a profound moral dilemma: Should he follow his daughter's heart or maintain his loyalty to his ancient traditions? The novel tests the strength of human relationships in the face of traditions and customs.

أمين الريحاني، مفكر وأديب وروائي لبناني، ومن أبرز الشخصيات الرائدة في مجال الإصلاح الاجتماعي والفكر العربي خلال الفترة الممتدة بين أواخر القرن التاسع عشر وأوائل القرن العشرين. لقب بالريحاني نسبة إلى الريحان الذي كان يحيط بمنزله. أبدع الريحاني في مجموعة متنوعة من الأجناس الأدبية مثل الشعر، الرواية، المقال، المسرح، السير الذاتية، وأدب الرحلات، بالإضافة إلى تأليفه في مجالات معرفية أخرى مثل الفلسفة، التاريخ، الاقتصاد، الاجتماع، والجغرافيا. كان أيضًا رسام كاريكاتير وممثل. عرف بمسيرته النضالية ضد الاحتلال الفرنسي ودعمه لاستقلال لبنان، مستخدمًا ثقافته الموسوعية في الدفاع عن قضايا وطنه. تُوفِّي الريحاني عام 1940، تاركًا وراءه إرثًا أدبيًا وعلميًا غزيرًا.
