The Arabian Peninsula, the heart of life and the origin from which Arab civilization originated, constitutes a permanent source of inspiration for Arab writers and poets. This book reviews the depth and detail of the life of this unique region and how it affected the minds of Arabs and their lifestyle. Arabic literature deals in particular, as poets wrote poems closely related to the desert and Bedouin life, and this book gives us a deep understanding of the cultural and intellectual developments that the Arabs have witnessed throughout the ages. It highlights the geography of the region and its economic and agricultural characteristics, in addition to the role of political entities, especially during the rule of Ghassanida. عبد الوهاب عزام، الرائد في الدراسات الفارسية، الأديب، الدبلوماسي، والمفكر الذي أسهم بتقديم مجموعة متنوعة من الأبحاث في الأدب والتاريخ والتصوف. يتسم بعمق الثقافة العربية والإسلامية والأدبية، حيث استكشف أدب الشعوب الإسلامية واستوعب اللغات الفارسية والتركية والأردية. يُعتبر من سُدنة (حماة) التراث العربي، حيث قاد مسيرة تحقيق العديد من الكتب وصدَّ الهجمة التخريبية لاستبدال الحروف اللاتينية بالحروف العربية. حافظ على روابط الصلة بين الأمة العربية والعالم الإسلامي. وُلِدَ في قرية "الشوبك" عام 1894م، وتلقى تعليمه الديني والعلمي، وتخرج من الجامعة الأهلية عام 1923م. تقلَّد مناصب علمية رفيعة، وخدم كإمام في السفارة المصرية بلندن. درس لغات بلاد الشرق الإسلامي وحصل على الماجستير والدكتوراه. بدأ مسيرته الدبلوماسية وتولى سفارات في المملكة العربية السعودية وباكستان. قدَّم العديد من المؤلفات، منها "مدخل إلى الشاهنامه العربية" و "ذكرى أبي الطيب المتنبي". وافته المنية في 1959م ودُفِنَ في مسجده بحلوان.
