Randall Parrish Westerns – Complete Collection (Annotated)
Über das eBook
Randall Parrish Westerns – Complete Collection gathers the author's frontier romances into a sustained portrait of the American West as both historical terrain and mythic stage. These novels combine brisk adventure, courtship plots, disguises, outlawry, military danger, and moral testing, written in the lucid, energetic prose characteristic of popular fiction in the Progressive Era. Parrish's West is less documentary realism than chivalric historical romance, aligned with contemporaries who transformed borderlands into narratives of courage, loyalty, and national identity. Randall Parrish (1858–1923) was an American writer whose career included journalism, law, and extensive work in historical fiction. His familiarity with American history, regional change, and the public appetite for tales of expansion helped shape his fiction. Writing when the frontier had already become memory, Parrish translated recent national experience into accessible narrative, often dramatizing the tensions between civilization and wilderness, personal honor and social disorder. This collection is recommended for readers interested in early twentieth-century Westerns, the genealogy of American popular fiction, and the romantic construction of frontier heroism. It offers not only entertainment but also insight into how the West was imagined after its passing.
