Probably best known for his famous work, Gullivers Travels, this book shows a whole different side to Jonathon Swift. In his time, (17th-century) there was great debate among scholars as to whether the ancient writers (the Greeks) were better than modern (17th-century) ones. Swift argues that writers such as Aristotle had ideas that are just as valid as modern ones.
