Despite her patience in the face of the psychological and physical torment she endured, she did not break in the face of the cruelty. Instead, she held on to her hope for her two children: one bore the features of her first love and his sweet nature, while the other resembled his father in his cruelty and deviant behavior. However, a grave event was the straw that broke the camel's back, causing her to lose her mind and plunge her into the abyss of madness and poverty. In a moving, realistic style, Tawfik Azouz depicts how unfulfilled love and oppressive injustice can destroy the most beautiful souls, and how a person becomes a victim of a bitter fate amidst the conflict of values ​​between purity and corruption, innocence and cruelty.
