I am truly sorry that you cute little rodents once again have to serve as a metaphor for the almost collective stupidity of humanity. But when we think of lemmings, we all think of those little animals throwing themselves off cliffs. And we humans are racing towards that very precipice with our eyes wide open, or, as my wife likes to say, we are already in free fall. And that is exactly what this book is about. About the waste lemmings, dog owner lemmings, consumer and app lemmings, and many more.

Die Autorin ist 57-jährige hochfunktionale Autistin, leidet an einer posttraumatischen Belastungsstörung durch Gewalt und Missbrauch, ist seit über 20 Jahren trockene Alkoholikerin und lebt in einer norddeutschen Kleinstadt mit ihrem Mann und ihrer Hündin.
Sie machte ihr Abi am Abendgymnasium Bremen mit einem Schnitt von 1,1 und studierte Germanistik, Französisch, Erwachsenenpädagogik und Sport. Sie stellte aber fest, dass ein Studium an einer Universität für sie unmöglich war. Stattdessen "studierte" sie Zen und entwickelte daraus zusammen mit ihrem Mann ihre Lebensform der Stille, Schlichtheit und Struktur.
Heute lebt sie zurückgezogen, befasst sich mit Postwachstum und Permakultur und ist glücklich.
