Sultan Al-Ghouri's councils

The Councils of Sultan al-Ghuri and Pages from the History of Egypt in the Tenth Century AH (10th Century AH) is a book that tells a great deal about this period, particularly Egypt's position among the Islamic kingdoms at the end of the Mamluk era, its position in the early modern era between East and West, and its relations with European and Islamic countries, especially the Ottoman Empire.
Sultan al-Ghuri was the king of Egypt and its surrounding regions in the ninth century AH. Al-Ghuri, like the Mamluk sultans before him, held leadership among Muslim kings, due to their responsibility to serve the Two Holy Mosques.
This book traces the life of Sultan al-Ghuri from his early days until he assumed the sultanate, his great heroism, and the battles he fought.
