A Journey Between Love and War

The rain clears a little, revealing vast expanses of land, covered in olive trees, glowing green after a natural bath to which all the townspeople have been invited, including houses whose center is wrapped in colorful towels and whose tops are covered with tiled covers. This is the scene, as if nature is preparing for a wedding. Those who receive a rain card have no excuse for being late, just as is the custom of the townspeople during their weddings. This is no surprise, as they have a very special bond with the townspeople's soil, crops, trees, and especially their olive trees. I sit on a tree branch close to the ground, shaking it, laughing as it sways. I remember that Murad and I were sitting in the same place and weather, when a bird sent him a gift from the top of the tree. It landed on his head, costing the poor bird its life after Murad hurled a barrage of insults at it in anger. I felt sad that day for that bird because I had instigated its killing, as I couldn't control myself from laughing.
