Über das eBook

This book marks the beginning of my academic journey into the world of academia, the world of research, and the arduous experience of questioning everything that comes, while reviewing and reconsidering canonical works. Many works can be examined through the lens of understanding literary madness and why madness is used as a literary device. I hope this book will start a conversation.
Finally, this book is a collection of moments, from long nights spent staring at pages, and a journey I first began with the support of my mother. My gratitude to her is endless. This book is the embodiment of many intellectual dialogues and discussions, and a search for new meanings of madness in powerful literary works. As a scholar of English literature, I focused on English texts, but I also studied Arabic texts translated into English because of their global reception. In the future, I hope that many researchers will focus on madness in the world of literature, with an emphasis on Arabic literature.
