In the geography of Sinai

Sinai's name is well known throughout history. It is mentioned prominently in the Torah, the Quran, and ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. Its fame began with the turquoise and copper mines mined by the Egyptian Pharaohs in the land of Mount Sinai from the First Dynasty to the Twentieth Dynasty. In some of these mines, they built one of their oldest and most precious temples. The Children of Israel passed through Sinai upon their exodus from Egypt at the hands of the Prophet Moses, and the Ten Commandments were revealed on Mount Sinai. The Jews, and later the Christians and Muslims, considered it a holy land. Christianity had barely spread throughout Egypt and the Levant when monks and hermits spread around Mount Sinai, building churches and monasteries. The mountain became a pilgrimage site for Jews, Christians, and Muslims from the East and West. Then, since Sinai was on the way to Egypt to the Levant and the Arabian Peninsula, two military trade routes were established in it since the earliest times of history: "The Pelusium Road" on the Mediterranean coast to the Levant and then Iraq, and "The Petra Road" crossing the land of Tur to the Hijaz. Then, after Islam, "The Hajj Road" was established in it, crossing the land of the desert to the Hijaz, and "The Arish Road" crossing Qatiyah and Arish to the Levant and then Iraq.
