Über das eBook

The history of Islamic Egypt, or what the orientalists call the history of Egypt in the Middle Ages, has occupied the interest of historians of all walks of life. Due to his position and influence in history in general. There have been many studies that dealt with the era of the Mamluk sultans in Egypt, whether written by orientalists or Arab researchers, and some of them delved into the precise details of the events. Therefore, there has become an urgent need for a comprehensive and brief study dealing with the state of the Mamluk sultans, which would benefit the specialist by referring to the latest specialized studies. It would also benefit the intellectual who seeks to learn about the nature of this system, which was unique to the state of the Mamluk sultans in Egypt.
This book is divided into two main parts and an introduction. The introduction deals with the origins of the Mamluk regime in Egypt. The first section deals with the sources of Mamluk history and the current status of Mamluk studies. The second section deals with the political history of the states of the Bahri and Burja Mamluk sultans (Turkish and Circassian).
In writing this study, I avoided going into the precise details of the events, and instead provided an analysis of the phases of Mamluk history, an explanation of the broad lines and main phenomena of the policies of the state of the Mamluk sultans in Egypt, and an explanation of the strategy that governed the policy of the Mamluk sultans, the goals they aspired to, and the extent of their success or failure in Achieve it. I directed my attention to showing the ideological and social developments and changes that occurred in their state. I was also careful not to address the topic in isolation from other contemporary issues, which helped us highlight and clarify the interrelationship between these complex issues.
