In Confronting Terrorism

The Arab popular movements failed because they had no specific destinations, no leaders, and no organization. They were spontaneous, and so the Brotherhood jumped on them, and were manipulated by all forces hostile to our Arab nation, its hopes, its ambitions, and its right to a free and dignified life.
The forces of evil worry that the Arab masses will rise up, because they will regain their right to their looted wealth, and because they will get rid of the forces of dependency sponsored by America, the Zionist entity, and the colonial powers of the West: Britain and France.
