A Face in the Dark... Selections from international detective stories

The detective story is a very special type of literature. The author transports the reader to the world of crime, with its events and movements that contrast with the monotony of daily life, and promises him the inevitability of achieving inevitable justice in the end.
In these selections of detective stories by the most famous international writers, we find a great deal of mysteries, excitement, and suspense, and the writer usually resorts to a narrative technique based on (trick or deception) full of mystery.
While the "detective story" in the West receives great interest from creators and is popular with readers, it is still faced with some condescension toward it, especially from creators of other literary genres.
