In writing "Forty Questions," Al-Hakim Lazarev answers readers' questions on issues about the self, destiny, and health.
Explaining the commandments and starting with the first commandment to love the one God, acknowledge and worship Him only, and accept His will to change our behavior and curb our instincts.
Then, in the second commandment, he urges us not to worship idols and become attached to people or things, praising giving, sacrifice, asceticism, caring for relatives, mercy for people, tolerance, as well as fasting, and staying away from greed and anger. Then he explains to us the application of the third commandment in sanctifying God.
For him, sin has three levels: The first is abandoning God's love. When the self turns away from God, it loses the future.
The second level is rejection of the will of the Most High, dissatisfaction with fate, condemnation of people and the world around us, regret for the past, dissatisfaction with the present, and fear of the future.
While the third level is the sin of greed, envy, and willingness to steal, steal, or even kill for the sake of human well-being.
It calls us to stay away from negative emotions such as hatred, condemnation and aggression, which gradually grow and accumulate in the soul, expanding their circle to poison the health and fate of those around us and extending to our children as well.
God is the source of life, happiness, health, and all our blessings in life. He gives us love at every moment, which turns into the energy necessary for life.
