Salvation lies in logical, natural, and divine wisdom
Über das eBook
The philosopher Ibn Sina divided his book Deliverance into three sections:
Logic: In this section, Ibn Sina, in the manner of Aristotle, dealt with the word and the compound, before presenting the five words. From this, he addresses the three sections of speech, which are the noun, the word (or verb), and the tool. After examining the three sections of syllogism: that is, the conjunction, the exceptional, and the conditional, he comes to the premises on which syllogism is built in its various forms, which are nine.
Naturalities: In this section, he begins by defining this science by saying: It is a theoretical industry, the subject of which is existing bodies, as they are subject to change, and as they are described in terms of movements and statics. This classification differs somewhat from Aristotle's classification, which limited the principles of natural science to matter, form, and nothingness.
Ibn Sina begins the third section of his book "Deliverance" by saying: Divine science differs from natural science and mathematical science, which investigate the conditions of some partial existences, in that it examines the conditions of absolute existence and its ancillaries, which are unity, multiplicity, strength, action, origin, occurrence, cause, and effect.
