نيقولاي فاسيليفتش غوغول كاتب روسي يُعد من آباء الأدب الروسي. وُلد في في 1 ابريل 1809 وتوفي في 4 مارس 1852. من أعماله الأكثر شهرة رواية النفوس الميتة وقصته القصيرة المعطف، بالإضافة إلى المسرحيتين الكوميديتين المفتش العام وخطوبة.
