Time machine

The Time Machine is the first fantasy novel by the writer Herbert George Wells, published in 1895, about a scientist who moved to the distant future (about 802,701 AD) and found how dark the future of humanity was, as through the class distance between the rich and the poor, two races of humans would emerge, each Descendants of those who preceded him. The descendants of the rich will be a weak, stupid race called (the Ailu) because of their development over time. There is no need for strength or intelligence for them, their parents, or their grandfathers, since they were blessed. As for the descendants of the poor, they will turn into animals that have no relation to humans (the Moruluk). They will live. Under the ground, they always work and toil as their fathers and grandfathers did, but they are more than them in that they have adapted and evolved with this miserable situation, but there is something that may restore to this low animal race some of its dignity, and that is that it will exploit the weakness of the other sex (the Ailu) and use them for nutrition, as they will let them eat, drink, and enjoy. Until one of them comes, and the Moruluks kidnap him and eat him.

أديبٌ ومُفكِّرٌ إنجليزي، يُعَدُّ الأبَ الرُّوحيَّ لأَدبِ الخيالِ العلمي. كان ويلز غزيرَ الإنتاجِ في العديدِ من صُنوفِ الأدب، ومِن بَينِها الرِّوايَة، والقِصةُ القصيرة، والأعمالُ التاريخية والسياسية والاجتماعية؛ لكنْ ذاعَ صِيتُهُ ولا نَزالُ نَتذكَّرُهُ حتى اليَومِ مِن خِلالِ رِواياتِ الخيالِ العلميِّ التي كَتبَها، وأهمُّها «آلة الزمن». نَشرَ ويلز أُولى رِوايَاتِهِ المُسمَّاةَ ﺑ «آلة الزمن» عامَ ١٨٩٥م، وقد أَحدَثتْ ضجةً كُبرى وَقتَها في الأوساطِ الثقافية، كما لاقَتْ نجاحًا جماهيريًّا كبيرًا، ثم تَتابعَتْ أعمالُه فَقدَّمَ بَعدَ ذلكَ «جَزيرةُ الدكتور مورو» و«حَربُ العَوالِم» وغَيرَهما، التي حملتْ بعضًا مِن فلسفتِهِ وأفكارِه، وأَظهرَتْ توقُّعاتِهِ لِعالَمِ المُستقبَل.
