About the Author
Author Bio: Peter Boge
Peter Boge's perspective was forged on the borderlands. Born in 1969 in the political no-man's land of divided West Berlin, he carried a green provisional ID a document without a state. This early lesson in how systems arbitrarily assign identity and power shaped a lifetime of inquiry.
He is a traveler, in both geography and thought. His journey took him from the Rhineland to East Berlin, from the emerging digital frontiers of the 1990s to the ancient stone of Mayan temples in Guatemala, which he has called home since 1995. His professional path as a merchant, tour guide, and early internet adopter granted him a unique lens on the global flows of goods, ideas, and people.
Boge writes from the intersection of these worlds. His work, including the novel The Test set in Tikal and Palenque, explores the invisible architectures of control that connect history to our present moment. His latest book, "The Almsbag" (Der Klingelbeutel), is a direct result of this lifelong study a time-travel thriller that dissects the enduring trinity of money, faith, and law.
